Watson and Crick (1953)-DNA Model
The pioneer research of Fredrich Miescher in identifying DNA, was followed decades after by other scientists including Erwin Chargaff (which involved research that revealed additional details about DNA molecule). This set a foundation, by which Watson and Crick were able to reach their groundbreaking conclusion of 1953: That DNA molecules exists in the form of a 3-dimensional double helix (Leslie A. Pray, 2008).
